I agree that "authentic" is in vogue at the moment but it is only the word that is in vogue...the search for authenticity is timeless.

With ref to the "Robin" comment. Sorry, np pun intended, bad or otherwise, it is my name..I just happened to be given it when I was born. But that poses another question....Was that an indication of a migratory life?Robin - Erithacus rubeculahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00818720941646241403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28336841.post-1149330295553300702006-06-03T03:24:00.000-07:002006-06-03T03:24:00.000-07:00Thanks Denise. Your comment made me "get back on track" and stop meandering.

Anonymous: It was interesting to see that you managed to conclude that I didnt enjoy my mothering years...Far from it..I LOVED those years and am appreciative that "by chance" I made that choice to be a mother..BUT I believe we are much larger than that one role and that each of us has unlimited potential. As Nelson Mandela says we are often terrified of our greatness rather than our limitations.
I appreciate your comments and they indicate to me that my writing style needs honing. Thank youRobin - Erithacus rubeculahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00818720941646241403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28336841.post-1149250855816093352006-06-02T05:20:00.000-07:002006-06-02T05:20:00.000-07:00You do come across as a woman who has resented her...You do come across as a woman who has resented her parenting years. Stop searching as you have already achieved a tremendous amount by supporting the other half and raising children. OK, so you haven't yet founbd your life purpose. You will in time by being "authentic" (the latest craze)- you are on the right track but don't have regrets about the past. Had to laugh about "Robin" and migrating bird. Terrible pun.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28336841.post-1149241914995827632006-06-02T02:51:00.000-07:002006-06-02T02:51:00.000-07:00To be honest when I read your title, I was expecti...To be honest when I read your title, I was expecting something witty to be written from a man in this 20s. However, when I started to read and get to know the author, I was picturing you in my head. As a woman in my 40s myself with kids and a husband, I could easily identify with the image that you were portraying and felt that you were kind of looking into my soul a little bit - again not what I expected when I started reading. I am looking forward to reading your next blog to see if it's a continuation of what we're looking for in ourselves.Denise Broesler LLChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05959990575366372239noreply@blogger.com
